Ellie Reeves Labour MP for Lewisham West and East Dulwich
How I Can Help
My role as a Member of Parliament (MP) involves representing my constituents in Parliament. This can include raising issues affecting constituents, scrutinising legislation, attending debates and voting on new laws. I also serve in the Government and am Chair of the Labour Party.
I am also active locally visiting schools, community organisations, attending functions and meeting with local businesses & charities.
As an MP, I can help constituents with matters relating to functions of central government departments, such as education, healthcare, policing, immigration and passports, social security and pensions, taxation and tax credits and student finance.
There are some issues which fall under the control of Local Government rather than Parliament, and your local ward Councillors are likely to be best placed to assist you in matters not directly in my remit. These include matters such as street cleaning, refuse collection, street lighting, pavements, trees, noise complaints, local planning and parking. You can find your local Councillor here if you live in Lewisham and here if you live in Southwark.
If you have an issue you would like to raise with me, the best way to get in touch is by email or post, you can find my contact details here. I also hold ‘advice surgeries’ in the constituency, where constituents can come along to discuss an issue that is affecting them. Very often I progress your issue without you needing to attend an advice surgery in person, and my casework team are always happy to speak with constituents. However, if you would like to attend an advice surgery, please get in contact with me to provide some information and if it requires a meeting my team can then book a place for you as soon as possible.
